There must be at least one full-time employee (FTE) or one supervisor on site for your employer to be eligible to host. Host companies must respect a ratio of 3 FTEs per J-1 participant.\u00a0<\/span>Example:<\/strong><\/p>\n

    • Host company with 1 to 3 FTEs = maximum of 1 J-1 participant<\/li>\n
    • Host company with 4 to 6 FTEs = maximum of 2 J-1 participants<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      A virtual site visit will be necessary for host companies who have not hosted a J-1 participant through our sponsor within the past 3 years if they<\/span>:<\/p>\n

      • have fewer than 25 full-time employees on site<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

        OR<\/strong><\/p>\n

        • generate an annual turnover of less than 3 million U.S. Dollars<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

          Should your host company require a site visit, rest assured that the process is easy and will only take 10-15 minutes of your employer\u2019s time.           A change of site of activity or host company is only authorized under exceptional circumstances (company lay-offs, breach of the training plan agreement on the part of the employer\u2026) subject to the sponsor\u2019s prior approval. Additional fees will apply.<\/p>\n
